How to Use Solo Ads To Generate Traffic and Leads – Udimi Review 2021.
First things first, what are solo ads?
If you haven’t heard of solo ads before, don’t worry, you’re not alone. To put it simply, a solo ad is an email advertisement that you can send through the email list of another person. Sort of like piggy-backing into their system. For a fee, the owner of the email list can send your email to any subset of their email list. If done correctly, a solo ad can make the recipients click on any offers placed in the email. And hopefully from these clicks you get leads, and from these leads you ultimately get sales.
Solo ads, aside from being generally cheaper than Google Adwords or Facebook Ads (or other paid traffic sites, for that matter), are also less stringent on the things you can advertise. However, you have to be very discerning in choosing the right email lists as not all of them are created equal. While some email lists are legitimate, there are others that are built using illegitimate (read: dishonest) ways and do not convert traffic well, if any at all. Some of them even utilize fake bots to artificially inflate clicks. They are a waste of time.
It’s also worth noting that solo ads may not work that well for all niches. You get the most bang for your buck when you use it in promoting different affiliate marketing or CPA type offers.
So what does Udimi have to do with solo ads?
Before, when you wanted to hire solo ad providers, you’d have to check countless online forums and sites. Sometimes sites of ill repute. Dealing with different platforms can take too much time and effort, and with varying results.
How do I select solo ad providers on Udimi?
First, you will need an account on Udimi. It costs nothing to join, so click here to register and receive $10 for FREE!
Once you’ve logged in, you can access the list of ad providers by simply clicking on the “Find Sellers” link in the top menu bar.
Before choosing any solo ad providers on the list, remember to use the Udimi filters available. The filters ensure you pick the best one for your needs.
The first filter is the ratings filter. Both the buyer and seller get rated after every transaction in solo ads udimi. For sellers, this rating is a fairly good measure of how they perform and deliver results. Both the positive and negative ratings can be checked in a seller’s profile.
For my business, I usually choose sellers with at least 100+ verified ratings and at least 2 out of 10 ratings with sales.
Another filter that you should look at is the % of buyers filter. In a seller’s profile, you’ll see a thumb up icon with a green line under it. That is the rating from a buyer who reported at least a sale from every solo ad placed with a seller. For example, if the value says 33%, it means 33% of buyers have indicated getting a sale from the solo ads udimi.
This is by no means a true indicator as there’s really no way of checking the reported sale. However, used with the ratings filter, you now have fairly usable shortlist of credible sellers of which to choose from. Those with a 20% score or higher are usually reputable.
The final thing to look at is the price. Always important when buying an ad. Udimi solo ad providers price their services from the lows of 0.35/click to as much as $0.95/click. It’s best to note that you get what you pay for. A low price is not always the best option for your business.
With price, rating, and percent of buyers filters in place, you now have a list of vendors that you can engage. Remember to read their profiles carefully as it provides valuable information about their email lists. Details like where the leads come from and from what niche they belong to. This will help you decide better based on the target niche you are going after.
Scrolling through the profiles will also show you the different reviews left by their customers. It’s a good idea to read through them, especially the negative reviews.
How do I buy my first solo ads in Udimi?
After choosing the correct vendor for your business needs, buy solo ads from them is a straightforward transaction.
Click the seller’s profile and you will see something like this:
At the very top of the box, you’ll see a slider from which you can choose the number of clicks you want from the seller. The value you indicate is the minimum number of clicks you get. Sometimes you get more clicks as some sellers promise to over-deliver a percentage higher than indicated. Which is a nice touch if you ask me.
Right below the slider are the Udimi filters you use for your traffic. The base filter, which is applied to all solo ads sent out, is used to remove bot traffic and various fake clicks from the equation. You can find out more about Udimi filters from this article.
Other filters aside from the base filter will cost you more for the privilege. This is meant to improve the quality of traffic you get, in theory. But I’d say you’re better off without the additional filters for now.
Like all ads, the most crucial part is the copy, which is the headline and the email. You can either come up with your own copy or have the seller draft the email for you. By unchecking the ‘I have ad text’ box, the seller can draft the email in his own style and just include the URL links you have provided.
Obviously, there are upsides and downsides for this. One advantage is that you won’t have to do any writing anymore. Aside from less time and effort spent, if you’re not too confident with your writing, you can just rely on the seller’s writing. The disadvantage is that your business is at the mercy of the seller’s writing skills. Which I believe is a pretty big downside. Ideally, you should be the best person to write the headline and ad copy.
That’s why I always recommend ticking that box. By doing so, you get to write a good copy on your own terms and in your own words. If it helps, research more about email writing before purchasing any solo ads. Trust me, this is worth your time and effort.
If you’re an affiliate marketer, your affiliate program often would have email copies ready for you to use. Just make some modifications then you are set to go.
One good thing about Udimi is that it automatically saves all the the solo ads you previously ordered. In the email body, what you’ll see is the solo ad you last purchased. From there, you can easily access and choose other older solo ads using the drop down option. When dealing with a lot of different vendors, the ability to rehash old ads is a huge time saver. You don’t have to write everything from scratch anymore.
On the very same page where you draft the headline and email copy, you’ll see the total price of your particular solo ad order. The amount already includes Udimi’s fee of $3, which you can read at the lower left side. Once you are satisfied with everything (I recommend you triple check your email copy), you can now go ahead with your purchase and click ‘Add to cart’ to complete the transaction.
Afterwards, the seller now has to approve the solo ad you purchased. Upon approval, they have 100 hours to start on delivering results. As soon as they do, you’ll now have access to the stats about your order. Usable metrics like the number of quality clicks and where they come from are now readily available to you.
Why choose Solo Ads Udimi?
➤ It is easily the best place for finding solo ad providers. No more scrounging forums for vendors of questionable credibility.
➤ Sellers usually over-deliver the number of clicks which is always a nice surprise.
➤ Usable filters by ratings, sales delivered/converted, and price.
➤ Random $10 discounts given when you use the service platform by buying ads and rating users.
➤ Previous headlines and email copy are automatically saved and can be used at any time. No need to write from scratch.
So, is Udimi worth a try?
Definitely, if traffic is what you’re after, then solo ads are worth your time and money. With a little creativity and the reasonable rates on offer, you are sure to make something out of solo ads. And as mentioned earlier, approving them is also less stringent than say Facebook Ads or Google Adwords. Thus, making it an easier and more practical option for a lot of ad purchasers.
However, it is worth mentioning again that good solo ad providers used to be difficult to find. Checking credentials and past performances is next to impossible. That is until solo ads marketplaces like Udimi made everything so much easier.
By creating a platform for sellers and buyers and taking out the guesswork with a rating system, Udimi was able to provide the market with a usable method in looking for quality service providers. This makes Udimi an essential tool for any solo ad buyer.
Is Udimi worth the investment? For an easy way to increase your traffic and build your email list, the ready answer is yes. And if you are after value for your money in achieving those metrics, then I’d say, even more so! Definitely, Udimi and solo ads are worth a try.
